That’s right. FIVE dollars for a bottle of the best-rated wine in the world. Who knew we’ve been spending a relative luck on Sutter Home White Zinfandel this whole period ??
The super affordable Chilean Malbec won its title as the “ultimate crowd pleaser” at this year’sDecanter World Wine Awardsafter 240 wine experts tasted1 6,000 reds and whites from around the world. According to Metro, tasters said the wine had notes of “freshly crushed black fruit, creamy vanilla yoghurt and pepper spice” and received praise for its “succulent juicy berries on the palate.”
Asda’s Chilean Malbec topped the list of best wines from Chile before going on to sweep the overall category for having the best qualityand value.Steven Spurrier, the DWWA chairman, explained the judging process, telling,
Our sole aim is to recognize and reward quality, “its what” customers all over the world are interested in. We merely award medals to wines in which customers can have the utmost confidence.
