IKEA is the place where furniture dreamings come true.
The Swedish homeware store is a cult favorite with all homeowners across the globe, so much so that you’d be hard pushed to find a house that doesn’t even feature one piece of their iconic furniture. In fact, even some of the homes you see in your favorite television indicates are basically IKEA show homes. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, it does, with the introduction of a pet furniture collecting. Yes, that’s right, special furniture for your furry friend is now available at the Scandinavian store. “Have you ever felt like your cat or dog wasn’t simply a pet, but a member of the family? ” IKEA asks as they launch the range, which is guaranteed to be extremely popular with interior conscious pet devotees. The Lurvig range, which means “hairy” in Swedish, has so far merely launched in five countries for a pilot test. Japan, France, Canada, America and Portugal are all blessed with the opportunity to purchase the carefully crafted pet furniture. If successful, which it undoubtably will be, then the scope is likely to be pushed further around the globe in March 2018. Explaining their adorable new collect, IKEA writes on their website:
“Created by pet loving decorators with subsistence from trained veterinarians, the scope covers all the bases of our shared life with pets indoors and out, so you and your pet can enjoy your home together.”
Despite the careful attention that has been paid to the design of each item, they are incredibly affordable. The most expensive item in the collect is a padded cat home which retails at $54. Regardless, ensuring your pet is comfy is priceless. IKEA are not the first brand to tap into the highly lucrative pet market. Earlier this year the internet went into a meltdown when a reality television show featuring merely cats was announced and the bank balance of all animal devotees was emptied when a wine for puppies, aptly named Pawsecco, was released. Naturally, IKEA watched an opportunity to complete the modern person’s need for every human item to have a pet equivalent. After all, what were we doing with our lives before our pets could recline on a miniature sofa? They say that a puppy is a man’s best friend, and you wouldn’t let your best friend sleep on a blanket in the corner of the room, would you? No, so instead IKEA can offer your beloved pet a real bed so that they can relax in consolation and style like a real human. The opportunities are they will still want to sleep on your bed with their muddy paw, but at the least they now have a option about where to rest- spoilt has been redefined! With pay day on the way, it is time to forget that wintertime jumper you had your eye on. Instead, treat your pet to what they truly deserve; a fully furnished home.
